18 JULY 19

Been a while since i have written anything…been very busy I guess.

It has been a lovely year here on the Black Isle so far and today marks 10 years (believe it or not) since I spent my first night in this Rectory! I was inducted here on the 1st of August in 09 WHERE has the time gone! I am blessed to be Rectory of such an amazing Charge. So many incredible people and all so active in the community around us.

Recently a need was expressed for volunteers for a summer feeding programme centred at our Cathedral in Inverness…people to staff it and people to provide hot meals. In a heartbeat our crowd rose to the challenge and provided the bulk of volunteers for these six week! I AM A PROUD RECTOR!

A COUPLE OF EVENTS….

Sunday the 21st of July at 2:20pm will see a children’s book being launched. Elizabeth Sutherland has penned “Highland Cathedral”…beautifully illustrated by Rachel Bevan-Baker. There’ll be pipes, clarsachs, choirs galore and a grand time will be had by all! Why not join us!

AND

Tuesday the 30th of July will see Igor and Oleksiy – the Kyiv Classic Accordion Duo making a return visit from the Ukraine. FREE ADMISSION but donations welcomed for their very worthy cause which supports those who continue to be affected by the horrible nuclear disaster at Chernoybl. concert at 7:30pm in St Andrew’s Church here in Fortrose.
